Your role at BT&Co: Tax Director - I work with our team to provide proactive, first-rate service to all of our tax clients.
I've worked at BT&Co since: Technically - January 1997. From January through August of 1996 I was an intern with the firm.
What makes BT&Co. different or special? We have a team atmosphere and develop personal relationships with our clients and team members. Our emphasis on giving back to the community is also very rewarding.
When I was younger I wanted to be: A teacher. I started working as a dishwasher and waitress at age 14 and HATED the annual rigmarole of filing my tax return and would grumble my way through it with my dad's help. Reading the instructions was the worst part. I never would have believed at that point that I would end up loving being a CPA.
My guilty pleasure is: A spoonful of Jif Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter (even better if I can add some vanilla ice cream…yum!).
The superpower I would like to have: Read minds.
What are you reading right now? Iron House by John Hart. It's REALLY hard to put down.

My guilty pleasure is: Dancing With the Stars (maybe it has something to do with my younger aspiration)
The actor or actress who would play me in a film about my life: Meryl Streep (I can hope then that it would be a really classy movie)
What would you say to someone thinking of working at BT&Co.? You would never regret your decision.

What makes BT&Co. different or special? The people. At BTC your personality can shine through and we have fun in a great environment. It's the perfect balance between work and fun.
When I was younger I wanted to be: A professional football player, more specifically a quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. 6'5 and 210 pounds never happened, but accounting was a great second choice.
The 3 things I would take on a deserted island: A tv (complete with dvd player built in), a generator and the complete Gilligan's Island box set so I could watch the show and know exactly what NOT to do.
The superpower I would like to have: I think the Green Lantern has the right idea with the ring. With the ring if you can think it you can make it, so I feel I'd be well covered for any situation.
The best book I read this past year is: The Hunger Games. I resisted the recommendations for quite a while, but you get started and then you can't put them down. I highly recommend them!

3 famous people dead or alive I would invite to a dinner party: Jesus, George Washington, Will Ferrell as Anchorman Ron Burgundy…I think we would have interesting conversations.

Your role at BT&Co: Technical position: Tax Supervisor. What do I really do: A little bit of everything. I mainly work in the tax department, but also dabble with some compilations. I've managed to mostly avoid The Dark Side (auditing), which holds me back from being an accounting triple threat.
I've worked at BT&Co since: January 2005
What makes BT&Co. different or special? We truly get to know our clients so we can better serve their needs.
When I was younger I wanted to be: The first female President. That's right first female President of the grand ol' US of A. Then I realized I'm not a very good politician.
My guilty pleasure is: I don't have a guilty pleasure. Don't feel guilty for doing things you enjoy.
My favorite book of all time is: The Pioneer Woman Cooks. Great instructions and pictures for the step by step process for all those recipes your grandma never wrote down.
The best book I read this past year is: Seriously, I pretty much only read cookbooks.

What makes BT&Co. different or special? BT&Co. is not a firm as much as it is a family. To say we all work well together is an understatement. This is a supportive network of professionals who want each member to succeed.
When I was younger I wanted to be: A horse…..don't ask.
My guilty pleasure is: Watching the A&E show "Hoarders", I cannot stop. I get all serious about house cleaning after watching it.
The 3 things I would take on a deserted island:......hmmmm…I would have to take my iPhone because I panic if it is more than five feet away from me at any time. Other items would be my box of art supplies and a pack of gum.
The actor or actress who would play me in a film about my life: Kathy Najimy, but not her now, Kathy Najimy as the bubbly nun in "Sister Act".

Your role at BT&Co: I am a manager in our audit department. I focus mainly on nonprofit and single audit issues, with a specialty in single audits. As a manager in the audit department, I am in charge of our continuing professional education. I also enjoy my participation on the Audit Quality Control and FISH committees here at BT&Co.
I've worked at BT&Co since: July 15, 1996
What makes BT&Co. different or special? Two things: 1) The people. We are not stuffy accountants who struggle with witty conversation. BT&Co. is like an extended family to each other and we enjoy working with each other and 2) as a parent, I have enjoyed the immense flexibility that BT&Co. allows its employees. This is NOT a typical public accounting firm.
What is playing on your iPod right now? Since my daughters sync my Ipod for me, I have to admit to having Ke$ha on my ipod.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, the first thing I would do is: Assuming the take-home stash is greater than $30 million, I'd give $1 million to my parents and $10,000 to each person who works at BT&Co. (Notice how I've had to restrict my pledge; I've had past bets with people at BT&Co. that have not turned out in my favor so I thought I'd play it safe.)
My favorite book of all time is: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I've only re-read that thing about 50 times. No book says love, loyalty and courage like that series. My eyes are tearing up right now….
What is something unique about you: I am one of twelve children. As you can imagine, my parents have "reserved" seats in heaven.
